Proteins are made up of amino acids, some of which our bodies make, while
others we have to get from foods. These are called essential amino acids. Foods
that provide all of the essential amino acids are called complete proteins.
Sources of complete proteins include: milk, cheese, yogurt, egg, fish, meat and
soybeans.

How much protein your child needs depends on his weight and age.*
Children 1-3 yrs: 1.1g per 2.2 pounds body weight
(about 14g/day for a 29 pound child)
Children 4-8 yrs: 0.95g per 2.2 pounds body weight
(19g/day for a 44 pound child)
Yoplait Kids provides 5 grams of protein per cup of yogurt and 2 grams of protein per bottle of yogurt drink.
