Process and Criteria
Whom should I nominate?
Nominate people you believe are "ordinary individuals doing extraordinary things" in the fight against breast cancer. From the nominations, we’ll choose up to 25 Champions.
How do I make a nomination?
Describe in 1,000 words or less how your individual (you or someone you know) has done extraordinary things in the fight against breast cancer. You can support your application with materials such as brochures, photos, news articles, letters of gratitude, pages from individualized Web sites or other appropriate information. Please limit supporting materials to 4 individual pieces. We really like to receive photos.
When you submit your nomination, you or the individual will have to provide proof that the organization that would receive the $1,000 gift is an accredited 501(c)(3)(b) association.
How do you select the 25 Champions?
We'll evaluate entries to determine those which:
- demonstrate a strong and sustained commitment to the breast cancer cause, including a personal sacrifice
- illustrate a creative and innovative concept that furthers the goals of fighting breast cancer
- have had an impact on the lives of others or on their community
- show identifiable changes that have been the result of the individual's activities
